Nicolas Jeter
A graduate of Brigham Young University's law school, Nicolas Jeter has lived several years in Paris and is fluent in French. The Girl and the Cathedral is his debut book. Nicolas lives and works in Texas, where he also enjoys reading and playing the piano.
Tony lives near Houston, Texas. His passions include being a husband and father to his wife and two sons, and all things soccer. Tony is fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese and works as an interpreter and translator for these languages in the tech industry. His love for French was born while living in Montreal, Canada, for two years. This is his first children’s book.
I absolutely love the darling illustrations in this book! I am trying to learn French with Duolingo, and as a visual learner it is a fabulous visual addition to the audio app. The colorful, quirky illustrations make me so happy. I pick a different page every morning to memorize. Yay fun learning!
This is the CUTEST book, along with being clearly laid out and easy and fun to learn from. It is a perfect visual to accompany my Duolingo quest to learn French. High five to the illustrator for the lovely pictures.
My grandson just started a French immersion kindergarten class...this helps his grandmother keep up with him. He likes correcting my pronunciations...and we have a secret language that most other family members can't translate. :)
While the book is phenomenal, the customer service is beyond lacking. This book was in my 2nd purchase made with Bushel and a Peck, and took much longer than originally anticipated (pre sale book dates changed and pushed out further without being told), now I'm awaiting any update on my 3rd order bought 10 days ago. All items, when purchased, were in stock and according to their site would ship in 1-2 business days. I emailed their customer service, messaged on Facebook and Instagram to no avail. Love the books, have definitely lost faith in the company which is a shame seeing as I have bought 24 books over a span of 3 orders and 2 orders being a bit of a mess with no communication.
