Please note that we are only accepting agented submissions for our traditional program. However, if you attended an Acquired workshop, or on another ocassion were invited by a member of our team to submit, you're welcome to do so.

How to submit

To streamline the submission process and ensure a thorough review of your work, please follow these guidelines:

  • Email your submission to: agentsubmissions@bushelandpeckbooks.com
  • Subject line: Submission: [Title of Work]

All submissions must include:

  • Story title
  • Target age (please specify age range, e.g., 3-5, 6-8, etc.)
  • Word count (exclude back matter)
  • Story synopsis (1-3 sentences that clearly capture the essence of the story)
  • Author/illustrator bio (briefly highlighting your experience and any relevant publications)
  • A note about whether the manuscript is a simultaneous submission
  • For invited authors: Please indicate the name of the Bushel & Peck editor who invited you and the event or platform where the invitation was extended.
  • Manuscript attachment (.doc, .docx, or .pdf only) or portfolio URL
