Jay Fox grew up in San Jose, California, in the heart of Silicon Valley. Surrounded by cultural and ethnic diversity, Jay took an early interest in learning languages. His two favorite foreign languages are German and Japanese, and he has invested years of study in both. Over the years, he has also dabbled in Spanish, Russian, French, and Hebrew. As luck would have it, Jay managed to go to Germany in high school as part of a foreign exchange program, during which time he was able to visit eight countries in Europe. He looks forward to being able to travel to Japan someday. Jay currently lives in Fresno, California, with his wife and six children. When he isn’t working or studying foreign languages, he enjoys playing games and watching anime with his children.
