To streamline the submission process and ensure a thorough review of your work, please follow these guidelines:

- Subject line: Submission: [Title of Work]
All submissions must include:
- Agent name (if not during the June-July open submission window)
- Story title
- Target age (please specify age range, e.g., 3-5, 6-8, etc.)
- Word count (exclude back matter)
- Story synopsis (1-3 sentences that clearly capture the essence of the story)
- Author/illustrator bio (briefly highlighting your experience and any relevant publications)
- A note about whether the manuscript is a simultaneous submission
- For invited authors: Please indicate the name of the Bushel & Peck editor who invited you and the event or platform where the invitation was extended.
- Manuscript attachment (.doc, .docx, or .pdf only) or portfolio URL
